Tino Santron McIntosh was born September 9th, 1970 to Toni Carrington and Lonnie T. McIntosh in Gainesville, GA. Tino has always had an ear for music. By the age of 9 his interest in music bloomed. When Tino was just 14 years old he was offered the opportunity to Dj his first gig. He got the name DJ Taz from playing football. Over the years he mastered his craft. In 1993 his world as he once knew had changed for the better. He was just 24 years old when he became a nationally known Producer, Artist, and DJ.
DJ Taz took his music career to another level. In the 1990's, he did several collaberations with different artist. Some of the celebrities he worked with in the 90's were Raheem the Dream, Kilo Ali, Dj Smurf, Dj Kizzy Rock, June Dog, Shawty Red, Dj Toomp, just to name a few. He produced his first album at 24 years old for Kilo Ali. He then produced his own album by the next following year. His first album was called,World Wide which hit #38 on Billboard Charts in 1997. Also in 1997, One of his songs from his album called, "That's right hit #8 on the Billboard Hot Rap Single Chart featuring Ms. Neeka and Raheem the Dream. DJ Taz continued to escalate his music career and was featured on the hit single "Girls" by Dj Smurf (aka Mr. Collipark) alongside DJ Kizzy Rock and June Dog. That single reached #14 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles Chart in 1998.
With a proven track record under his belt, Dj Taz produced tracks for Kilo Ali entitled Nasty Dancer, which reached #17 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles Chart. Tino continued producing more music for many different artist. DJ Taz was credited for the production of "Donkey Kong" by Kilo Ali, which reached #34 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles Chart. With many accomplishments, DJ Taz composed "Sexy" by Rae Sremmurd, along with 30 Roc, Mike Will Made-It, Kilo Ali, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee 2023. Mr. Tino McIntosh (aka DJ Taz) continues to produce, write, perform to this day. Well known all over the country, DJ Taz continues to DJ, Perform and make special appearances. After being in the business for over 30 years, DJ Taz still continues to produce, write, and perform all over the country. His love and passion for music is stronger now then ever before.
